Assigning a GuardianOS local NFS user a UID < 100

Version 1

    Assigning a GuardianOS local NFS user a UID < 100

    ---Solution---

    GuardianOS UIDs/GIDs

    ProtocolRange
    Reserved 0-100
    NIS and Local101-17999
    Local Only18000-19999
    Windows 20000-65536

    If you join the Snap Server to an NIS domain, consider the following guidelines:

    (1) the Snap Server does not recognize users or groups who have identification numbers outside of the range indicated in the table;

    (2) each UID or GID must be unique; and

    (3) you should not define a UID or GID that has been previously assigned, and you cannot define a UID or GID that is currently assigned.

    0-100 shows as Reserved.

    When trying to configure a UID < 101, a message is generated stating "UID/GID Out of Range.

    The Local UID Range is:101 - 19999"

    To create a local NFS user, select a UID in the 101 ? 19999 range.
