VERY slow performance, degrades as more files are added, from Mac workstations.
Check the Server log for disk-related errors or warnings (including file system and file system check messages).
Although the SnapServer automatically recovers from certain types of disk failures, these may affect the performance of your system.
Backup your Data and run a Repair all errors in Disk Utilities/Check or Repair Disk.
Also in your Server Log, should you notice "Thresh hold above 10%", you 'll need to remove old un-used data to a permanent form of media. The SnapServer requires 10% of total disk space to perform file system checks and defraging.
