"Cannot write share database"

Version 1

"Cannot write share database" message in Share Access screen when trying to set access through GUI.  Access to shares is lost.

This happens when anything other than a share exists in the /shares directory.  This problem has been observed on Guardian OS 5.0 and 5.1.  /etc/smb_shares.conf is purged when this problem occurs and access will need to be set again.

EDR remote backup is known to create .pl files in /shares directory when a backup is run. These files should be deleted before you attempt to modify share access.
