Unable to log into Web UI or SSM but system is up and running and logging into FTP, SMB and SSH are working fine.

    Note: This issue is resolved in Guardian OS 5.2.056 SP1 - however you will still need to restore access to the Web UI in order to apply the SP

     

     

    Log into putty and verify that the Snap server is no longer joined to the domain:

     

    -sh-3.1# wbinfo --sequence

    SIMPSONS: DISCONNECTED

     

    Check to see that lgdom_util returns 'garbage characters' and an error retrieving samba users:

     

    -sh-3.1# lgdom_util u

    To resolve this issue do the following:

     

    cli windows set member-of=workgroup

    /etc/init.d/lgdom restart

     

    Once you have done this, you should be able to connect to the UI again, however the underlying issue is still present.  Troubleshoot for domain connectivity issues, issue is likely on the customer network IE DNS, routing, latency etc and must be addressed prior to rejoining the Snap server to the domain.
