Version 1

Do Windows 2000 domain controllers have to run in mixed mode to operate with SnapServers?

This information applies to the following Operating System(s):

    - Windows 2000 Server

    - Windows 2000 Advanced Server
    - Windows 2000 Datacenter

    ---Solution---

Windows 2000 Server operating in mixed mode is supported after SnapOS 2.2 and for GuardianOS 2.6 and above. Windows domains are supported for security. However, the Active Directory Tools will not work against SnapOS. In order to use SnapOS with Windows 2003 Server, the SnapOS will must be upgraded to version 4.0.

    NOTE:
Customers with a SnapOS software prior to version 2.2 who require support for the Windows 2000 platform, should contact an Overland Storage customer representative.
