NEO 2000 / 4000 HEX Drive, mail slot, and magazine bin addresses

Version 1

    Introduction:

    The information below can be used to help to identify and decipher NEO 2000 and NEO 4000 trace logs.

    Drives:

    1e0h = 1st Physical drive
    1e1h = 2nd Physical drive
    1e2h = 3rd Physical drive
    1e3h = 4th Physical drive

    1e4h = 5th Physical drive
    1e5h = 6th Physical drive
    1e6h = 7th Physical drive
    1e7h = 8th Physical drive

    1e8h = 9th Physical drive
    1e9h = 10th Physical drive
    1eah = 11th Physical drive
    1ebh = 12th Physical drive

    1ech = 13th Physical drive
    1edh = 14th Physical drive
    1eeh = 15th Physical drive
    1efh = 16th Physical drive

    Mail Slots:

    1c0h = Mail Slot #1
    1c1h = Mail Slot #2

    1c2h = Mail Slot #3
    1c3h = Mail Slot #4

    1c4h = Mail Slot #5
    1c5h = Mail Slot #6

    How to calculate magazine bin numbers (aka cartridge slots):

    Slots start @ bin 20h and count up from there. For example:

    00.21:09:08.612 00.000 Loader Stow_Bin = 0000002D
    00.21:09:08.612 00.000 Loader Magazine Positions = 00000000
    00.21:09:08.612 00.000 Loader Phys. slot number = 0000002D

    The lines above illustrate moving a piece of media into slot # 14

    Do the math in hex (2D-20) = D (convert hex to decimal = 13). The internal code of the library calls the first slot, (slot #0). Externally we call the first slot, (slot #1). To correct for this issue we add one to the formula. ((2D-20)+1) = E (convert hex to decimal = 14).
