HP LTO2 Fibre Channel Settings

    The fibre channel version of the LTO2 drive can be configured using the libraries GUI interface. The following items can be set by choosing MENU > EDIT SCSI OPTIONS > Drive n Configuration(FC drives only)

    Port n Control - used to specify the method for setting the AL-PA (soft address, hard address, disabled). when Hard Address is selected, the Port n ID button is enabled to select a valid Loop ID. Options are Disable, Soft Address Hard Address.

    Port n Loop ID - this parameter specifies the Loop ID that the tape drive will use to determine the AL-PA for port n.

    World Wide Port n Name - Default causes the factory-configured WWPN to be used.
    Custom is used to customize the World Wide Port Name for Port n. Options are Default and Custom.

    World Wide Node Name - default causes the factory-configured WWNN to be used.
    Custom is used to customize the World Wide Node Name for the device.
    Options are Default and Custom.

    Topology- used to specify the topology used by the fibre channel ports. Options are "Use Loop, Allow Point-to-Point", "Use Point-to-Point, Allow Loop", "Force Loop" and "Force Point-to-Point".

    Speed - used to specify the link speed used by the fibre channel ports. Options are "Auto","1Gb/sec" and "2Gb/sec".

    Directory Registration - Options are Yes or No. used to control whether additional
    registrations are performed prior to RFC4 after a drive fabric login. With this bit set to YES, the following additional registrations are performed: Register Node Name (RNN), Register Port Name (RPN) and Register Class of Service (RCS). With this bit set to NO, no additional registrations are performed.
