What are the basic MTX commands for Red Hat Linux?

    Solution: Following are the basic commands. In these commands, sg0 represents the tape drive, and sg1 represents the tape library.

    root@support /]#mtx -f /dev/sg1 load 1 0 -- Load the tape in slot 1 to the drive 0

    root@support /]#mtx -f /dev/sg1 unload 5 1 -- Unload the tape from drive 1 to slot 5

    root@support /]#mtx -f /dev/sg1 status -- Reports each slot as full or empty.

    root@support /]#mtx -f /dev/sg1 inquiry -- Gives details on the tape library including
    the serial number.
